I recently had a terrible experience at Shield Storage. I bought a unit in a storage auction and arrived at the facility to pay for the winning unit and pick up the items inside. The next day, I rented a truck to pick up the items, but the gate code I received from the facility didn’t work, and no one was at the office. I called Shield Storage and spent an hour on the phone with an agent trying to locate the office manager or anyone who could open the gate, but had no luck. The next day, I tried again to pick up the items, but was told that my time was up and they would lock the unit with a double lock. This felt like a scam. The lady at the office, who claimed to be the property manager, called the regional manager, and after a brief conversation, they decided to lock the unit and refused to return my deposit, even though I had 72 hours to pick up my items. They were clearly mad at me for calling customer service to report that no one was at the property, and that’s why they refused to let me pick up the items and didn’t return my deposit. This whole experience felt like fraud. I reported this to the auction website as well. Scammers. Just scammers. My belongings were not handled with care, and several items were damaged. Additionally, the security measures were inadequate, leaving me worried about the safety of my stored items. I would not recommend this storage facility to anyone looking for a reliable and secure place to store their belongings.

The worst company to rent from had I known from the start I would have rented elsewhere they refuse to allow anyone to have Jordan’s or anything of such at facility you are not even able to have anything outside the unit even when moving in or out and your not allowed to have but antiques at unit says the district manager. There’s screws all over the ground from uncleanliness there’s rat feces in the unit and the fire doors open and it’s a 9”x9” space where anyone can access and see in the unit and they will cancel your unit the day you move in and say they will refund your money and don’t ever refund a dollar be mindful look elsewhere don rent here. Kat the lady at the front is so sweet and deserves the biggest raise and has the best customer service but they as a company is are very incompetent period. When you have no company to back you with her customer service it’s very hard to keep everyone happy. Hats off to her for dealing with such a piece of work as a district manager from Sacramento not even in Las Vegas. I will be contacting my attorney for all the damages and discoloration to my belongings and make sure they pay for everything as the worst storage company ever. Dirty unclean units rat infested and incompetent company.

HORRIBLE! We returned our penske truck on 10/11 after moving here we stopped at the shell gas station on decatur and paid $166 for gas we returned the truck and they said we returned it at a quarter tank and charged us $528 for gas. Completely unacceptable the lady was rude when we dropped it off and definitely will not be returning if we didn’t have the receipt for filling the gas we would have never gotten our money back. Scam and ridiculous that people do this.

They lie about having security there, they are only there for literally 1 hour between 8pm-9pm then nothing else. This place is not secure. Do not store your stuff here!

I ask the property manager to move to a different unit and he said it would cost me extra fees. I emailed him the photos and said no one is living there. I told him I’m giving him notice of vacating the unit when I just rented it 2 days ago and never moved in. His response I will put a note on your account. I just lost $163 when I never used the facility. Very bad service
